SOYBEAN
The properties of soy as human food, animal feed or biodiesel are proven.
This legume native to Southeast Asia was already known as a food since 2800 years before our era. It reached Europe in the 18th century and America in the 19th century where its cultivation reached a great expansion.
Soy is rich in fiber, protein, B vitamins (except vitamin B12), minerals such as potasium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium. It provides high quality protein and has the full range of essential amino acids. As for its nutritional power, 250 gr. of soy provide 33 gr. protein, equivalent to 2 servings of meat.
